The MDH Substance Abuse Treatment Program is an intensive
8-week community reintegration program developed exclusively for male offenders with a chronic history of substance use. The program has three overarching goals:

  • To assist residents to transition successfully from the institution to the community.
  • To provide residents with booster training to ensure the successful transfer of coping skills taught while incarcerated.
